Auli is a small town located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state of Northern India. This town lies in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand in the laps of the Himalayan Range. It is located at an elevation of 3,049 meters above the sea level. The surroundings of this place make it even more beautiful. And this place comes alive during winters when it is covered with snow all over the area. Auli is also known as Auli Bugyal, ‘bugyal’ refers to the alpine meadows situated at high elevations. Things to do in Auli Tourism 

After reaching Auli you will not have to worry about how will you be spending your time? Once you reach there you will have lots of things to do and many places to go. Auli offers its tourists to enjoy various adventuress winter sports like skiing, trekking and ice skating. One can enjoy trekking to Gurson Bugyal and Kwani Bugyal. You will be amazed by seeing the beauty of these alpine meadows. Other places where you can visit are Chattarkund, Chenab Lake, Nanda Devi National Park and Badrinath.

Now talking about the attraction points of Auli, the spots that comes to mind are Trishul Peak, Nanda Devi peak, Hanuman Temple and Artificial Lake. The artificial lake of Auli is one of the highest manmade lakes in the world. Government had constructed this lake to produce artificial snow during summers. So, the skiing activities can be done smoothly in summers as well.

Another attraction point is the Auli ropeway. After Gulmarg, this is the longest ropeway in Asia covering a distance of 4 kms. While taking the cable car rides you can enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayan Range of Garhwal region.
