Har Ki Dun is located in the Western Himalayas of the Garhwal region. Har Ki Dun trek is the simplest trek for the first time trekkers. This is another most visited trail because of it’s natural and adventuress beauty of the Himalayas. Also it is one of the most beautiful valleys of Uttarakhand and is surrounded by snow covered peaks and alpine vegetation. Har Ki Dun is an eight days trek which starts from Dehradun and then followed by the village named Sankri to Taluka then to Osla, from Osla to Har Ki Dun and from there to Jaundhar Glaciers and then returning back to Osla and Osla to Sankri and then catching a ride back to Dehradun.

Day-1 : Dehradun – Sankari
On the first day of your trip you will have to arrive at Dehradun and then from Dehradun you will be heading off to a small beautiful village named Sankri which is the starting point of your Har Ki Dun trek. You will get to see the beauty of the surroundings while driving to Sankri. On the way you can stop for lunch as your body will require energy for a ride of 10 km to the village. After reaching Sankri you will have to spend the night there so check-in into hotel or resort.
Day-2 : Sankri – Taluka
Get up the other day and you will have to trek for 12 km from Sankri to Taluka. Before leaving for the trek, have breakfast and don’t forget to keep enough of drinking water bottles and something to eat. You will reach Taluka about late afternoon, after arriving there check-in into a tent to spend the night. You will love the view of star covered sky at the night. You will be then delighted by bonfire, some snacks and different folklore about the locale dinner.
Day-3 : Taluka – Osla
On the 3rd day after having breakfast you have to trek forward to Osla which is at an altituide of 2560 meters. On your way you will cross the Siyan Ghat and Ton River to reach Dhatmir village. You will definitely enjoy the view of wild orchids and if you are lucky enough you might get to see the wilderness of the Himalayas. And after reaching there you will have to spend your night there in the provided tents.
Day-4 : Osla to Har Ki Dun
You will next be trekking from Osla to Har Ki Dun for 11 kms. On your way to Har Ki Dun you will witness the beautiful views of the valleys, plains and the mountains. The trek to Har Ki Dun is enriched with pastures of orchids and you can also see the charming views of the Swargarohini and Jaundhar glaciers. After reaching at the Har Ki Dun Pass settle down in the campsite.
Day-5 : Har Ki Dun – Jaundhar Glacier – Har Ki Doon
On 5th day you will be trekking from Har Ki Dun to Jaundhar Glacieer and then back to Har-Ki-Dun Camp. Have your breakfast and then leave for your trek to Jaundhar glacier. The views of the glaciers will be a treat to your eyes. Then return back to Swargarohini campsite for spending the night there.
Day-6 : Har Ki Dun – Osla
On the 6th day of your trip you will have to trek back to Osla from Har-Ki-Dun which will take an entire day for you to reach Osla, along the way you will witness and the beautiful landscapes.
Day-7 : Osla to Sankri
Get up early in the morning as you have to trek for 26 kms from Osla to Sankri. After arriving at Sankri you will have to spend the night in Sankri. This is going to be the last day of your trekking.
Day-8 : Sankri – Dehradun
This is the day when your tour comes to an end and from Sankri you will be heading back to Dehradun. and here your trip of Har Ki Dun ends.
