Valley Of Flowers is an Indian National Park, it is situated in the West Himalaya of Uttarakhand state. Valley of Flowers Trek is located in the upper expanses of Bhyundar Ganga near Joshimath in the Garwhal region. Phulo Ki Ghati is located in the Pushpati Valley 23 km to the North West of Nanda Devi National Park. This valley is a vibrant and splendid National Park. Valley of Flowers trek is famous for its charming prairie of alpine flowers. Legends believe that Valley of Flowers is the place from where Hanuman Ji collected Sanjeevani buti to cure Lakshmana. This enchanting valley has pastures of a large variety of beautiful flowers, running water streams and beautiful backdrop of mountains. So, if you’re a shutterbug then you’re really going to enjoy taking pictures here, or even if you are a nature lover you’re gonna love this place.
Valley Of Flowers Trek
Valley Of Flowers was declared as the National Park of India in the year 1982 and is now considered as a UNESCO world heritage site. This region is rich in varied flora and fauna. This valley is famous for its regional alpine flowers and variety of flora, it is also a home for rare and endangered species or animals including Asian black Bear, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Brown Bear, Red Fox and blue sheep. birds you can find here are Himalayan Monal, Yellow Billed, Bullfinch and other high altitude birds.
Valley of Flowers trek is 3352 to 3658 meters above the sea level and lies between 30°41′ to 30°48’N and 79°33 to 79°46’E. Valley of Flowers compliments the mountain wilderness of Nanda Devi National Park. It stretches over 87.50 km of expanse and it is about 8 km long and 2 km wide. This valley has always lured botanists, nature lovers and adventure lovers due to its immense beauty.The park is open only during summers from June to October because it is covered with snow for the remaining months of the year. The Valley of Flowers is a high-altitude Himalayan valley.The valley consists of different colourful flowers and as time progressed various shades also came into existence.

Day-1: Haridwar - Govindghat
On the first day of your trip you must gather at Haridwar Railway Station and get started with long uphill drive to Govindghat. On the way to Govindghat you will pass through Devaprayag witnessing Bhagirathi and Alaknanda Rivers to form River Ganges. After arriving at Joshimath you may stay there or you may proceed to Govindghat.
Day-2: Govindghat – Ghangaria
2nd day wi l be your mount trekking day you will begin with short ascend 14 km trek from Govindghat to Ghangaria. Then after arriving Ghangaria as per your wish you can either check-in into hotel or camp outside exploring the surroundings.
Day-3: Ghangaria – Valley of Flower – Ghangaria
Start this day with a wholesome of breakfast as you have to trek a height of 3858 km to reach Valley of Flowers. Then you can admire the beauty of the valley, the sight of the valley will be a treat to your eyes and soul. The wild flora has to lead to a rich eco-system for different species of birds and animals. After admiring the nature’s beauty start trekking back to Ghangaria.
Day-4: Ghangaria – Hemkund Shahib – Ghangaria
On the 4th day of your trekking trip if you get up early you will get to see the beautiful sunrise view. Trust me, you would not want to miss this. The trek to Hemkund Sahi has ascended 6 km and 6 km while returning back. While exploring the Valley of Flowers you will get to see snow covered peaks, waterfalls, flora and fauna.you will reach Hemkund Sahib within 2-3 hours. And if you to take a dip in the Hemkund Sahib lake you can visit Gurudwara and return back to Ghangaria.
Day-5: Ghangaria – Govindghat – Badrinath
Get up early in the morning as you have to start your descend trek of 13 km to Govindghat which will take approximately 4.5 hours to reach there. From Govindghat you can take ride to Badrinath and Mana Village from where you will get to see Neelkanth peak, Vasundhra,etc. And after enjoying all of this return back to Badrinath for a night stay.
Day-6: Badrinath – Haridwar
Here your trip ends. Get up early take a dip in the hot water kund if you wish to, have breakfast and depart to Haridwar and from there you can take a ride to your home with lots of memories that you’re gonna cherish all your life.
